US/ CARNAGE REVIEW/

Carnage is the one of the best underground events in Bristol (and I say that as a punter, I'm nothing to do with the organisers), and if you're into the darker, more bangin' and dirtier side of dancing then you'll f*****g love it. As they say.

Carnage kicked off about 2 years ago playing in the back room of the Black Swan pub in Easton and have put on parties there every 3 months or so since. The vibe is more rave/free party than club night, with a variety of punters (techno nutters, dodgy metallers, dodgy crusties and even dodgy Gatecrashery types) all up for it in an intimate and friendly atmos. The music policy is yer classic dark techno/psytrance, with resident DJ's and some familiar names from bigger Bristol nights like Species and Future Funk. There's a chillout room which also plays banging techno (never quite worked that one out), trance and some DnB, and there's generally some reggae in the front bar if you do need a sit down and a brew. Or whatever. And in the summer the beer garden's open, so you can chill outside and spot the Stobart lorries going over the M32.
